Free Canoes On Again
Friends of the Glenelg River are excited to announce another free canoe day. This time it’s on Sat 25th October.
Past free days have proved very popular with learners and more experienced canoeists alike.
There will be free canoe use for everyone wanting to have a go but people under the age of 18 will require a guardian to accompany them in the canoe.
Paestan Canoes from Dartmoor will be supplying a range of canoes and kayaks and will give advice on canoeing.
The day will commence at 10.00 am at Rotary Park (next to the Casterton Bridge) and finish at about 1.00pm. Of course this all depends on how much water is still in the River. Like all locals we are praying for more rain so that the river might make it through this season without drying up.
